Online Marketing Copywriter
The Online Marketing Copywriter position is a full-time, on-site role, working with our Online Marketing team, Project Managers, Copywriters, Account Managers, Designers and Programmers.
Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Mass Communications/Journalism, English and/or at least two years of copywriting/editing experience. Candidates who are not strong writers need not apply. The online marketing copywriter candidate should possess an exceptional grasp of promotional writing; an emphasis on writing for search engine optimization, online advertising and social media is a must, as well as the ability to strategically and purposefully develop content towards a greater marketing goal. Candidates must demonstrate a firm grasp on crafting compelling content and have an aptitude for proper writing technique, including spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Technical aptitude is a requirement, as the online marketing copywriter will add and edit website content using content management systems such as WordPress. Ability to perform keyword research and to manipulate data on spreadsheet applications is a must. Excellent communication and research skills are essential to the success of this position. The online marketing copywriter must have the ability to multi-task across projects, quickly organize information and deliver on deadlines in a fast-paced environment across a wide range of industries.

Position Summary
The primary aim of this role is to contribute well-written content for a wide range of marketing projects. Main duties and responsibilities of the online marketing copywriter include:
-Contributing/leading the research, development and production of quality content for online and offline channels -Reviewing content from other writers to ensure there is solid purpose, flow of logic and that copy is free from any grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors -Increasing awareness of client brands, products and services through outreach and social media amplification -Ensuring that content portrays brand values, and is engaging for website users -Create internal agency content, including presentations, proposals, emails, brochures and other internal sales collateral -Help produce training and best practice guides to manage content and relevant systems -Help develop testing models to ensure content is appropriate for the target audience and provides a positive customer experience, in line with the CTAs or business goals -Optimize campaigns for SEO, using keyword research and help develop metrics to show ROI -Use customer insight to monitor visitor engagement and change content to match with customer trends -Develop well-structured content for use in marketing automation

-Inbound marketing - (Blog posts, Email blasts, Web page content, Paid search ads, Local listings setup, Social media updates and ads, e-Books and whitepapers, Landing pages, Infographics, Promotional video scripts, Newsletters) -Marketing infrastructure - (Brand standards guides, Website sitemaps, Website content, Information packets, Brochures)
The online marketing copywriter will be instrumental in servicing client contracts and growing our content development knowledge base. The online marketing copywriter will also support the sales team in promoting marketing offerings. This position requires a personality that is energized by change and challenges. As the marketing landscape is constantly shifting, the online marketing copywriter needs to enjoy learning about new technologies and consistently evaluating ways to improve SG Interactive’s service model.
An Emphasis on Inbound Marketing Projects
Most of the online marketing copywriter’s focus will be in developing content for websites and contributing to inbound marketing strategies. There are several client-service tasks associated with inbound marketing that the copywriter will contribute to. Please note the following examples of projects that the copywriter will oversee:
-Using SEO software for campaign analysis and reporting -Researching competitiveness of keyword sets for SEO clients -Manipulation of ranking & traffic data in spreadsheet applications -Optimizing or creating new content for client sites -Developing Facebook ads -Working with creative team to develop Facebook and Google+ pages -Working with developers/technical staff to resolve site issues that negatively affect SEO -Developing landing page content -Running SEO reports, sending monthly communications to clients -Doing initial inquiry and onboarding calls with clients -Working with team of copywriters to develop on-page content -Interpreting Google Analytics reports and dashboards for clients -Researching and presenting article ideas -Working with designers on brochure ideas -Writing ad copy for print publications and online advertising -Writing and distributing press releases -Participating in content strategy meetings with clients and teammates
